General Audition Information:

Everyone is welcome to join our performance group from beginners to advanced dancers; most of our participants range in age from 25 - 55.

ALL LEVELS of dancers, from beginner to advanced are welcome to audition for the performing group.

Audition Format: Current performing members will provide a group warm-up and any technique instruction needed for the piece. The choreographer will demonstrate excerpts from the piece we will be performing at the show. The auditioning dancers will practice the excerpts with the choreographer several times and finally present them back to the choreographer. It is not necessary to prepare an audition piece of your own, but you can if you wish. In most cases, you will be notified immediately if your audition was successful; in some circumstances where deliberation is necessary, the Director will contact you by phone or email within one week.

Please wear comfortable dance, yoga or workout clothing that allows you to move freely. No jeans, please.

Bare feet or dance footwear required. Bare feet preferred. Appropriate dance footwear includes ballet shoes, dance paws (or similar), lyrical ballet shoes. NO SOCKS PLEASE! (unless worn with dance shoes).

You may bring a water bottle into the studio, but please do not bring any food or other drinks with you.

If you plan to come, please download, print, complete & sign a Fish Hawk Wing Liability Waiver to help get class started promptly.

There is no cost to audition or perform with Fish Hawk Wing, however, we do appreciate any donations or help with our fundraisers to help offset the costs of running the company and performances/costumes.
